We're a community of builders committed to building better communities, and we're looking for a talented Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager at PCL, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and grow your career.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project administration, technical expertise, and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and implement project safety plans, promoting a culture of health and safety.
- Ensure projects are constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
- Identify client drivers and provide value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
- Manage project performance, providing regular status reports on safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
- Negotiate and issue subcontracts, revisions, major purchase orders, and progress payments, monitoring their progress and schedule.
- Enforce contract and contract documents, ensuring compliance.
- Participate in project commissioning and closeout, identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
- Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture, applying health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry, including building materials, construction specifications, methods, and procedures, construction law, and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, including managing project budgets and schedules.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management, and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
