Job Title: Forklift Operator

At Scotts Miracle-Gro, we're always looking for talented individuals to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs), front-end loaders, or other equipment to move, locate, and relocate merchandise.
  • Stack, count, and move finished palletized goods, including loading and unloading trucks and flatbeds.
  • Prepare organic mixes using heavy equipment loaders.
  • Monitor stockpiles for excessive heat, turn stockpiles, and extinguish small fires.
  • Ensure the proper amount of water is used to prepare stockpiles for production use.
  • Perform order filler and checker duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of experience operating a PIT or other heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and division.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Must be available to work multiple shifts.
  • Conduct themselves in a manner that promotes safety.
