Job Title: Business Development Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Officer to join our team at Travelodge Lethbridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing policies, supervising staff, and administering programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop policies and procedures to promote business growth and development
  • Supervise professional and support staff to ensure effective program delivery
  • Administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment
  • Perform administrative tasks to support business development initiatives
  • Plan and develop development projects to promote business growth
  • Develop venture capital sources to support business development
  • Recruit and hire staff to support business development initiatives
  • Respond to enquiries from members of the business community
  • Develop social and economic profiles of an area to encourage investment
  • Prepare reports, research papers, and educational texts
  • Develop a portfolio of marketing materials to promote business development
  • Evaluate customer service and store environments
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote business growth
  • Develop and implement business plans to promote business development

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in business development or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Environment:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Permanent position
  • English language required
