About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Manager to join our team at COB_4228 Bird General Contractors Ltd. as a Surintendant général. This is a key leadership position responsible for the overall management of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the project team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Site Operations and Safety: Oversee site operations, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, and implementing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure high-quality workmanship, materials, and services, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Financial Management: Manage project budgets, costs, and expenses, ensuring financial stability and profitability.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP).
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and other construction management software, with experience in estimating, scheduling, and cost control.
