We are seeking an experienced Azure Analytics Solutions Architect to join our Data Engineering team at Avanade.

About the Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will have access to cutting-edge Microsoft technologies and work on enterprise-grade analytics solutions based on Azure and Databricks technologies.

  • Design, develop, and deliver complex analytics solutions using Azure and Databricks technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure and Databricks advancements and maintain relevant certifications.
  • Collaborate with clients across various industries to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Demonstrable expertise in data engineering, including experience with large-scale projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure technologies such as Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, and Cosmos DB.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and experience with Python, Scala, or PySpark.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to lead small development teams and manage assignments, capacity, and workflows.
  • Informatica experience is a plus.
  • Security clearance is preferred.

  • Able to demonstrate at least 5 consecutive years of residence in Canada for eligibility of reliability clearance.
  • Living within a commutable distance of downtown Toronto.
