Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Heavy Duty Tire Service Specialist As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing tire services on customer equipment using our proprietary methods. This includes dismounting and mounting tires, conducting inspections and repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
You will work closely with mine maintenance staff to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency and productivity. Your strong technical skills, combined with your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, make you an ideal candidate for this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform tire services on customer equipment using Kal Tire's proprietary methods
- Conduct inspections and repairs to ensure optimal tire performance and safety
- Work closely with mine maintenance staff to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably with direct experience as a tire fitter
- OTR service training and certifications desired
- Basic tire fitting skills – Tire fitter Levels 1 & 2 preferred
- Experience operating and maintaining tire manipulators, forklifts, and service trucks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
