Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Educator to join our team at Island Health. The successful candidate will possess a recognized nursing program, advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of wound care, and three years' recent related experience in the clinical area of expertise.

The ideal candidate will also have two years' formal experience in adult teaching/learning, curriculum development, teaching, providing in-service or staff development functions, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Additionally, the candidate must hold a valid BC Driver's License and be registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

The successful candidate will also possess current CPR certification and have specialized wound care education and clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs for staff and clients
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to staff
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote best practices
  • Conduct assessments and provide nursing care through appropriate interventions
  • Operate related equipment, including computer technology
