We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Harbourstone Enhanced Care team in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, documenting, and directing residents' needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and team members.
You will provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services, respecting the client's right to individualized planning of health services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and planning resident care needs
- Providing leadership and oversight to health services staff
- Developing and implementing resident care plans
- Administering and recording prescribed medication
- Applying dressings and treatments according to physician's orders
- Assisting with supervision and evaluation of job performance of care staff
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with seniors and has experience working with the elderly in a seniors' living or long-term care environment.
You should have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and be currently registered with the Provincial Association of Registered Nurses.
Additional requirements include:
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work a schedule of flexible hours and all shifts
- Advanced proficiency in the English language
- CPR & Emergency First Aid Certificate, Clear Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Screening
