About the Role

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Transfer Credit Officer to join our team. As a key member of the Office of the Faculty Registrar, you will play a critical role in evaluating courses from other academic institutions for transfer credit purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate domestic and foreign academic documents to assess credentials against University equivalencies
  • Review and assess student requests to attend other universities on Letters of Permission
  • Track departmental transfer assessment decisions
  • Apply established standards to ensure adherence with transfer credit rules and guidelines
  • Provide consultation and advice on the application of University policies and procedures
  • Oversee data collection and analysis processes
  • Implement plans and process improvements for records administration activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum four years of recent and related experience working in a registrar department
  • Demonstrated knowledge of domestic and international post-secondary educational systems
  • Experience analyzing domestic and foreign academic documents
  • Experience and sound knowledge of best practices in transfer credit and enrolment
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of applying University policy and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining web-based information and applications
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, with particular proficiency in database and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
