Senior Accountant, Corporate Reporting

Tricon Residential is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Reporting team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review account reconciliations, detailed variance analytics, and journal entries, including month-end and quarter-end closing procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal teams in the US during month-end and quarter-end close, and perform a detailed review of results.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the design and preparation of corporate financial statements and supplemental disclosures.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements and other financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Improve and document month-end procedures and workbooks to enhance the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Leadership: Supervise and coach junior staff, and assist with special and ad hoc projects as necessary.

Requirements:

  • CPA or on track to become a CPA
  • 3+ years of industry or firm experience (Big 4 preferred)
  • Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience with consolidation and elimination entries preferred
  • Residential real estate experience would be an asset
