Job Title: Senior Accountant, Corporate Reporting

The Senior Accountant, Corporate Reporting, will be an integral part of a growing team of accounting professionals at Tricon Residential. This role requires a dynamic, energetic, and highly motivated individual who can join the team in a senior capacity with growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Reconciliations and Variance Analytics: Prepare and review account reconciliations and detailed variance analytics to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Journal Entries and Closing Procedures: Record journal entries, including month-end entries, eliminations, intercompany, etc., and perform month-end and quarter-end closing procedures.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the design and preparation of the corporate financial statements and supplemental disclosures.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements and other financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team Supervision and Coaching: Supervise and coach junior staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special and ad hoc projects as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Professional Certification: Must be a CPA or on track to become a CPA.
  • Industry Experience: 3+ years of industry or firm experience (Big 4 preferred).
  • Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP accounting and financial reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
