Architectural Intern Opportunity

Architecture49 is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Intern to join our CENTRUS team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a complex long-term heritage renovation project, the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, which is a national interest project within the Parliamentary Precinct.

Responsibilities
  • Assist architects and senior team members in project design, including construction detailing and researching appropriate materials.
  • Validate plans with project programs and apply code analyses prepared by senior architects.
  • Review existing documentation and visit sites to gather data for the preparation of architectural drawings, documentation, models, and visualizations.
  • Actively maintain and progress professional requirements for provincial internship.
Qualifications
  • Accredited professional architectural degree from a CACB recognized University.
  • Registration in, or eligibility to register in, a provincial professional internship program.
  • 1-5+ years of relevant experience in an Architectural consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, AutoCAD software, Microsoft 365 environment, and Bluebeam.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of visualization software (Sketchup, VRay, Enscape), Adobe Creative Suite, and Generative Design Tools.
