Architecture49 is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Intern to join our CENTRUS team.

The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a complex long-term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. As an Architectural Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of tasks, including construction detailing, researching materials, and validating plans with project programs.

Our team is committed to leveraging technology as a cornerstone of our design processes, methodologies, and procedures. We are looking for individuals who share our philosophy of design through technology and are passionate about utilizing digital design, production, and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist architects and senior team members in project design.
  • Construction detailing and researching appropriate materials.
  • Validate plans with project programs and apply code analyses prepared by senior architects.
  • Review existing documentation and visit site to gather data for architectural drawings, documentation, models, and visualizations.
  • Actively maintain and progress professional requirements for provincial internship.

Qualifications

  • Accredited professional architectural degree from a CACB recognized University.
  • Registration in, or eligibility to register in, a provincial professional internship program.
  • 1-5+ years of relevant experience in an Architectural consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; and Bluebeam.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of visualization software (Sketchup, VRay, Enscape); Adobe Creative Suite and Generative Design Tools.
