Job Title: Welder and Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fitter to join our team at PRECISION LASER CUT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding and fitting metal components to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to produce high-quality welds.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications, making adjustments as needed.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut metal components to precise specifications.
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal components safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and fitting metal components.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with exposure to dust, heat, and noise.
