Job Title: Heavy Industry Mechanic

 

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Boiler Fitter to join our team at First Hire inc. The successful candidate will have a trades certificate or diploma and 3-5 years of experience in pipefitting, boilermaking, or related fields.

 

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

 

Responsibilities:

The Boiler Fitter will be responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements, laying out patterns and fitting and welding parts together, erecting and installing boilers and heavy-metal products according to specifications, repairing and maintaining boilers and heavy-metal products, performing informal inspections of completed welds, and repairing or replacing defective pressure vessel parts.

 

Specializations:

The successful candidate will have expertise in boiler installation, boiler tube installation, and pressure vessels.

 

Work Conditions:

The Boiler Fitter will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and requiring attention to detail and physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel.

 

Required Tools and Equipment:

The Boiler Fitter will require steel-toed safety boots and other necessary tools to perform the duties of the role.
