About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Publishing and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at the Library of Parliament. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional and timely desktop publishing and quality assurance services to content owners, enabling them to produce high-quality documents intended for internal users, parliamentary clients, and the general public.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience using Microsoft Office 2013 or 2016, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as strong skills in desktop publishing and formatting functions. You will also have experience proofreading text in both official languages and working in a high-volume production environment with shifting priorities.

As a Publishing and Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be part of the Office of the Parliamentary Librarian, which provides strategic support and services to the Parliamentary Librarian, senior executives, and the Library in various areas, including corporate communications and management of the Library's digital presence.

About the Salary

The salary range for this position is $66,311 - $74,819 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, indeterminate position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and timely desktop publishing and quality assurance services to content owners;
  • Use Microsoft Office 2013 or 2016, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, to create high-quality documents;
  • Proofread text in both official languages and ensure accuracy and consistency;
  • Work in a high-volume production environment with shifting priorities and deadlines;
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and objectives;
