Compensation and Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 per annum, depending on their level of experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the position offers a range of benefits, including paid vacation time, full benefits, RRSP matching, and a discretionary bonus opportunity.
About the Role
The Construction Project Lead will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring the successful delivery of ICI projects within budget, scope, and schedule constraints. Key responsibilities include managing project progress reports, working closely with the Estimating Department on project budgeting and tendering, reviewing and approving project invoices, and validating construction cost estimates.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in project management on ICI projects exceeding $20M in value. A post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent field is also required. Certification such as PMP, P.Eng, or other relevant qualifications are considered assets. Experience working in the construction industry, particularly in field roles, is highly desirable.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must have a proven track record of effective leadership, working knowledge of contract terms and conditions, and fundamental understanding of project financial controls. Additionally, they should be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have a general understanding of QA/QC policies and Health and Safety practices. Design/build experience and familiarity with project or construction management software are also valuable assets. Ultimately, the successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment and possess a valid driver's license for occasional travel to job sites.
