Material Handler Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at AppleOne. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, verifying, unpacking, and sorting incoming materials in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Unpack and sort materials in a timely and efficient manner
  • Process and pack customer orders for shipping
  • Provide exceptional customer service to walk-in customers
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using an inventory locator control system
  • Operate warehousing equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety procedures
  • Provide backup support to office personnel as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid and current forklift certification
  • Minimum 18 months of warehouse experience (on-the-job training provided)
  • Computer skills beneficial
  • Ability to interact with customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Energetic and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift and meet physical demands of the role
  • Availability to work occasional extra hours
