Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at ITN Logistics. As a key member of our dispatch team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials across our network.
Key Responsibilities:- Communicate effectively with supervisors and management to gain an understanding of our internal processes and customer needs.
- Find resourceful solutions to obstacles that arise during day-to-day operations and ensure that our processes and procedures are followed in full.
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams, including ITN Operations, Transport Division, 3PL Division, and Customers.
- Build strong relationships with individuals at all levels of the client organization and ensure that our clients have a positive, value-added experience in every interaction.
- Foster a team approach and ensure that there is enthusiastic cooperation when interacting with internal teams.
- Foster and support a continuous learning culture at the company.
- Provide direct instruction to drivers and provide open communication.
- Coordinate bookings and arrangements for pickups and deliveries from/to client's docks, bonded warehouses, storefronts, malls, and personal residences on behalf of our clients.
- Provide customers with updates and assist in any escalation issues.
- Ensure that all other dispatch functions, such as billing, PODs, driver payroll, and invoice approvals, are done promptly.
- Maintain updated carrier rates.
- Assist in managing the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the Dispatch Department, specifically handling information flow, business process, and organizational planning, to achieve high customer service and performance.
- Coordinate with other departments of ITN Logistics Group about shipment and truck loads to enable excellent client service.
- Build strong relations with outsourced carriers.
- Other projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
- 4+ years of dispatch experience.
- Knowledge of the bonded warehouse and transportation industries would be an asset.
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to work in Windows applications, especially Microsoft Office.
- Experience working in the trucking industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Reliable transportation.
