Process Engineer

OTI Lumionics Inc. is a leading developer of advanced materials using quantum simulations, machine learning, and real-world testing in pilot production. Our focus is on key enabling materials for OLED displays that will be used in next-generation consumer electronics and automotive. We work closely with partners and customers to design new materials that are mass-production ready.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks of R&D and/or production equipment and the laboratory according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). This includes following SOP to perform sample testing and analysis of experimental data, documenting and reporting test results accurately, and assisting in developing SOPs for device fabrication and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks of R&D and/or production equipment and the laboratory according to SOP.
- Follow SOP to perform sample testing and analysis of experimental data.
- Document and report test results accurately.
- Assist in developing SOPs for device fabrication and testing.
- Assist facility engineers in repairing, modifying, and setting up new equipment.
- Provide feedback to software engineers on potential improvements to programs and software for R&D and/or production equipment developed by OTI Lumionics Inc.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of industrial experience with vacuum equipment or equivalent post-graduate experience.
- Excellent understanding of processing engineering, including design-of-experiment, root-cause analysis, and process optimization.
- Knowledge of vacuum science and thin film fabrication.
Assets
- Experience of thin film fabrication, including thermal evaporation, sputtering, ion plating, pulsed laser deposition, and chemical vapor deposition.
- Experience of working in a chemical or pharmaceutical production environment.
