Painter - CCQ (Apprentice or Journeyman) - Maintenance Specialist

About the Role
At BGIS, we are seeking a skilled Painter - CCQ (Apprentice or Journeyman) to join our Maintenance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of our facilities, with a focus on patching, painting, and planned maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and condition surfaces for painting, both inside and outside of buildings.
- Apply one or more layers of film-forming compounds for protection and embellishment.
- Coat wall surfaces with wallpaper or other materials.
- Perform other tasks involving the fitting of reinforcements, iron corners, and accessories, and the filling of joints in wall planks.
Requirements
- WHMIS certification
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification
- Interprovincial Standards, Painter Decorator, Blue Seal certification
- Training in Fall Protection and aerial platform
- Commercial and Industrial Safety FLHA/JSA
- Current knowledge of building and safety codes for exterior and interior work
- Good colour sense
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to move heavy ladders and industrial equipment
- Member of the Construction du Québec commission
