Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of the facility, with emphasis on patching, painting, and planned maintenance. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be part of the Maintenance Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and conditioning of work areas inside and outside of construction, and coating with one or more layers of film-forming compounds for protection and embellishment.
- Coating of wall surfaces with wallpaper or other similar materials, natural or synthetic, pre-glued or glued.
- Fitting of reinforcements, iron corners, and accessories, and filling of joints in wall planks.
Requirements
- WHMIS certification
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification
- Interprovincial Standards, Painter Decorator, Blue Seal certification
- Trained in Fall Protection and aerial platform
- Commercial and Industrial Safety FLHA/JSA
- Current knowledge of building and safety codes for both exterior and interior work
- Good colour sense
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to move heavy ladders and industrial equipment at the work site
- A desire to do a precise and thorough job
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
- Member of the Construction du Québec commission
