The Menu Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and distributing patient menus, obtaining meal choices, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and distribute patient menus in a timely and accurate manner
- Obtain patients' meal choices via computer for two meals daily
- Provide front-line service to patients and families, responding to food and meal requests and queries
- Respond to phone calls related to patient feeding, catering, and other department business
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets
- Experience and/or knowledge in food and nutrition basics
- Demonstrated PC computer skills
- Knowledge of Computrition Computer Application
- Knowledge of HBOC
- Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to meet deadlines and multitask
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Customer-oriented with a pleasant phone manner
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated problem assessment skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Demonstrated individual leadership skills
- Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families
You will require a minimum Grade 12 education and possess the skills and abilities outlined above.
