Provide operational leadership and management of a major shopping centre, ensuring efficient operations, project management, and staff coordination.
Key Deliverables:
- Regular feedback, performance appraisals, coaching, and training for staff.
- Manage department goals, policies, and procedures.
- Motivate and mentor staff for ongoing professional development and succession planning.
- Hire, train, and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to Human Rights requirements.
- Coordinate annual operating expense and capital budgets, gathering information for accurate forecasting.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance work, scheduling, and delegation to maintenance teams.
- Oversee construction by external trade contractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within Building Code requirements.
- Order necessary parts and services, accurately coding and signing invoices for payment.
- Prepare accurate and concise reports for management, providing information for business decisions.
- Enforce safety procedures, participating in safety training and ensuring legislative compliance.
- Identify specifications and secure quotations for specialized services or repairs.
- Maintain programs related to HVAC, energy management, environmental management, and other physical operations.
- Secure CF property against loss, ensuring health, safety, and security procedures are adhered to.
- Oversee Operation of the Loading Dock staff and all activities related to Waste Management and Central Stores.
Required Strengths:

Requirements:
- Grade or equivalent.
- Diploma in Building Environmental Systems offered through Community College.
- Stationary Engineer Class Certificate, SMA (BOMA) or Building Environmental Systems II.
- Minimum years experience in physical Operations management, with at least years supervisory experience, preferably in a shopping centre, office, or mixed use environment.
- Thorough knowledge of:
- General maintenance procedures.
- Plumbing/carpentry skills.
- Current technology.
- HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems.
- PM Program - Maximo.
- Computer literacy and proficient in Word, Excel, and Building Automation Systems and Preventative Maintenance software.
