Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at True North Tiling Solutions Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, repairing, and applying adhesives
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement
  • Set tiles in place, applying pressure to affix them to the base
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Supervise other workers and instruct apprentices
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and attention to detail
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
