We're seeking a skilled Senior Interfaces Engineer to join our Front-End team at Float. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for building new user-facing features, contributing to our shared component library, and modernizing legacy code.
Key Responsibilities- Lead product-focused projects, such as enhancing charts/visualizations or improving onboarding experiences.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including Product and Design teams, to discuss specifications and understand problems and constraints.
- Specialize in application areas, handle regressions, bugs, and customer queries related to those areas.
- Contribute to the front-end architecture, participate in discussions on scaling and evolving the architecture, and suggest strategic changes or process improvements.
- Collaborate with various teams across engineering and Float, including the User Experience team, to understand and improve how customers interact with the product.
- High level of proficiency in React, with a strong understanding of hooks.
- Experience building large applications with Redux, good understanding of local vs. global state.
- Familiarity with Vanilla CSS as well as CSS-in-JS, without reliance on utility classes like Tailwind.
- Experience with TypeScript, as we are currently transitioning our front-end codebase to TypeScript.
- Knowledge of Vitest or Jest for testing.
- Comfortable working in a monorepo environment.
- Enthusiasm for working directly with users and solving real problems for them.
As a fully remote team, we're looking for someone comfortable with asynchronous communication as the default. We offer a competitive salary of US $167,471 (Level 3) and a range of benefits, including a comprehensive Float Handbook and opportunities for professional growth and development.
