THINKalpha is reshaping the capital markets. Our platform transforms financial data so everybody can generate content and views. The core of our platform includes financial search, streaming analytics and is accompanied by both data and transactional frameworks. We are currently seeking a talented Back End Web Developer with a strong technical background and a passion for coding.



The ideal candidate will have experience building and managing high-performance transactional systems, and excels at delivering production-worthy commercial products and services.


Responsibilities

  • Work across the full stack, develop and manage high performance transactional systems.
  • Design, implement, and maintain back-end, and, at times, front-end software components using Node, Typescript, and React.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ship multiple products.
  • Leverage cloud infrastructure to build scalable, reliable real-time systems.
  • Utilize strong debugging and problem-solving skills to ensure system reliability, recovery, and scalability.
  • Engage in the full development lifecycle, from design and coding through testing and deployment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies to keep our systems at the forefront.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Node, Typescript, and React.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cloud scale, and real-time systems.
  • Experience with Websockets and other real-time data transport technologies.
  • Proven track record of shipping multiple commercial products to an active user base.
  • Experience benchmarking and optimizing high volume services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex development tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.


Considered a Plus

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial markets, trading, and FIX protocol is a strong plus.
  • Experience building solutions for high availability, reliability, recovery, and scalability.
  • Experience with Rust, Go and/or C#.
  • Interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience.
