Rolling Mill Set-up Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Set-up Operator to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating rolling mills to produce high-quality products for the automotive and commercial truck industries.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect rolling mills at the beginning of each shift to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Operate rolling mill controls and tooling protection equipment to produce high-quality products
- Monitor and maintain rolling mill equipment, including measuring equipment and gauges
- Start and shut down rolling mill equipment as needed
- Perform induction welding and other tasks as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production operations
- Knowledge of rolling mill operations and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing production demands
- Valid forklift license and ability to operate heavy equipment
- Ability to follow written set-up instructions and fill out appropriate paperwork
- Knowledge of WHMIS/GHS and safety protocols
