Rolling Mill Set-up Specialist

Job Overview:
Magna Exteriors is seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Set-up Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our rolling mill equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect the rolling mill at the beginning of each shift to ensure safety and proper functioning.
- Operate and maintain rolling mill controls and tooling protection equipment.
- Monitor and record inspection records, SPC charts, and checking fixtures.
- Use measuring equipment, such as vernier and other gauges, to ensure accurate measurements.
- Start and shut down equipment as needed to run the rolling mill.
- Perform induction welding and other tasks as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure smooth production.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of rolling mill operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to follow written instructions.
- Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing production demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid forklift license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to follow written set-up instructions and fill out appropriate paperwork.
- Knowledge of WHMIS/GHS and other safety protocols.
