Job Description

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Director to join our team in the role of Term Funding and Capital Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting department initiatives and contributing to the Bank's overall success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of funding and capital management strategies.
  • Manage the issuance, redemption, and repurchase of capital and wholesale term funding.
  • Perform market research, pricing, and analysis to identify opportunities for new products and markets.
  • Work closely with dealers and rating agencies to execute transactions and manage regulatory requirements.
  • Support the diversification of capital and wholesale term funding by identifying opportunities for new products and markets.
  • Manage a team responsible for booking, internal reporting, analytics, and department processes.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics, or accounting designation.
  • Capital markets experience required.
  • Ability to manage a high-performing team in a demanding environment.
  • Strong analytical and math skills.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
