Job Description

The Purchasing Specialist is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the procurement of materials and services within a MRP environment. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Material or Supply Chain Management considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily systems, processes, and procedures governing the end-to-end process for procurement of materials from suppliers.
  • Execute and generate purchase orders according to MRP demand and/or approved requisitions.
  • Research and source hard-to-find items.
  • Generate requests for proposals, bids, and other related documents.
  • Assist in negotiations and apply knowledge of commercial contract law to assess, plan, and negotiate best terms and conditions.
