Job Summary:

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Threat Analyst to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing potential and actual threats to our business operations, identifying emerging issues and trends, and providing recommendations for mitigation and remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively monitor security-related threat data and identify potential threats to the business.
  2. Analyze and integrate information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes and enhanced analysis.
  3. Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and updates to stakeholders on security-related matters.
  4. Identify intelligence of significance, determine impact, urgency and audience to whom prevention, detection, mitigation and remediation guidance would be most beneficial.
  5. Apply expertise to ascertain the impact of an attack and develop threat trends to understand and recommend mitigation techniques and countermeasures.
  6. Provide security-related threat analysis, alerting, and reporting based on information gathered from both internal and external sources.
  7. Monitor and research threats with a direct or indirect impact.
  8. Develop strong cross-functional relationships with senior line of business and functional representatives to facilitate two-way information sharing in support of crisis program management objectives.
  9. Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems with key business stakeholders as part of Crisis Management activities.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
  2. Typically, between 2-4 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. 1+ year working in threat intelligence, geopolitical analysis, security research or other security functions strongly preferred.
  4. In-depth knowledge of more than one of the following areas: Physical Security, Fraud, Cyber Security, Geopolitics, or Risk.
  5. Self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently with little oversight.
  6. Presentation skills and experience writing briefs or reports for various stakeholders including senior management.
  7. Aptitude for conducting research, learning new security disciplines and interacting with professionals across multiple groups and lines of business.
