Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator III

Job Summary:

The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator III to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and screen study participants, obtain informed consent, and coordinate patient visits schedules as per study protocol.
  • Execute all aspects of study visit, including assessment of adverse events, monitoring safety, medication, questionnaires, sample collection, and chemotherapy administration.
  • Provide clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials and implement and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • BScN preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in oncology with a knowledge base in GI Oncology.
  • Recognized certification in clinical research (CCRP) and/or oncology nursing (CON(c)) obtained or planning to work towards.
  • Previous clinical research experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
  • Evidence of good physical assessment, psychosocial assessment, and patient/family teaching skills.
  • Autonomous clinical critical thinking ability.
  • Training in ICH/GCP guidelines an asset.
  • Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently with accuracy in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software - Word and Excel desired.
