Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator III to join our team. As a key member of the Department of Medical Oncology and Haematology, you will be responsible for coordinating clinical trials and providing clinical care to patients participating in research studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and screen study participants, obtain informed consent, and coordinate patient visits schedules as per study protocol.
  • Execute all aspects of study visits, including assessment of adverse events, monitoring safety, medication, questionnaires, sample collection, and chemotherapy administration.
  • Provide clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials and implement and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • BScN preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in oncology with a knowledge base in GI Oncology.
  • Recognized certification in clinical research (CCRP) and/or oncology nursing (CON(c)) obtained or planning to work towards.
  • Previous clinical research experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
