Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV) is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Counsellor to join our Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) team as an Affiliate Counsellor. As a FSEAP Affiliate Counsellor, you will provide short-term counselling services to employees and their family members, utilizing a brief treatment, solution-focused clinical framework.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term counselling services to FSEAP clients
- Collaborate with clients to develop SMART goals and service plans
- Refer and bridge clients to community resources for specialized or intensive services
- Maintain clinical records and documentation via an online portal
- Ensure adherence to FSEAP Counselling and EAP Program Protocols and standards
- Master's degree in a clinical discipline
- Professional registration with a provincial registering body (e.g., RCC, RSW, CCC, RPsych, etc.)
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience or 2500 hours of clinical experience
- Experience in delivering assessment, referral, and clinical counselling services within a short-term, solution-focused framework
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to assist clients to effectively access and utilize those resources
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in learning to navigate an online portal
