3D Modeling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled 3D Modeling Specialist to join our team at SHED. As a key member of our modeling department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D environments and props for various projects.
- Create 3D models and props according to 2D references in a variety of styles.
- Unfold and optimize UVs in collaboration with texture artists.
- Develop textures to enhance model geometry.
- Assemble sets and props into Houdini scenes optimized for animation and rendering.
- Work with riggers to optimize models for animation.
- Provide animators with a light version of sets and props for animation work.
- Collaborate with lighting designers to ensure models are optimized for rendering.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a 3D animation program.
- Experience in 3D modeling and film, advertising, or TV production.
- An excellent artistic eye for design, architecture, and harmony of form and proportion.
- Good command of topology and post-production techniques.
- Knowledge of Shotgrid and a level of comfort with the Linux/Unix environment.
You will be working with:
- Modeling with Maya.
- Sculpting with zBrush.
- Knowledge of Houdini, Blender, and 3DSmax.
