Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Canada Limitee. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for installing and finishing concrete surfaces to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet specifications
  • Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set
  • Level the top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications
  • Impart a desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures as required
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and prevent damage
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to their original condition
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy
Work Environment

As a Concrete Finisher, you will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be exposed to dusty, cold, and hot environments, and may be required to work at heights. You must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in concrete finishing
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
