Job Title: Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Reimar Construction. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement
  • Operating power vibrators to compact concrete
  • Leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Working at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Imparting desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Instructing apprentices
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
  • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Waterproofing, damp proofing and restoring surfaces
  • Repairing, resurfacing and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
  • Estimating costs and materials
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Work Environment:

As a Concrete Finisher, you will work in a variety of locations, including outdoors and in potentially hazardous environments. You will be required to work at heights, in cold and hot temperatures, and in dusty conditions.

Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
