Job Summary:

The Retail Lead is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a retail store department. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and develop a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
  • Delegate tasks and work assignments to team members, providing clear direction and feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ensure all sales associates are trained on standard operating procedures and systems processes.
  • Monitor and maintain visual presentation standards, including in-store signage and merchandise displays.
  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist in other areas of the store as needed, providing support to colleagues and ensuring seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment.
  • Knowledge of local fishing and outdoor lifestyle.
  • Open availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on those needs.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to use good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions.
