Mould Designer - Tooling and Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mould Designer to join our team at Unique Merchandising Displays Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures that meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Design and develop tooling and moulds to meet customer requirements, ensuring they are functional, efficient, and cost-effective.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, providing accurate quotes to clients.
  • Contract Preparation: Prepare contracts and tenders for clients, outlining scope of work, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects, managing schedules and resources as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure they meet quality standards, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Supervision and Teamwork:

You will supervise 1-2 people and work closely with other team members to achieve project goals. Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and physical stamina. You must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, distinguishing between colours and performing tasks that require manual dexterity.

The primary language of communication is English, and the typical work schedule is 30-35 hours per week. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers stability and security for the right candidate.
