About the RoleThe Automotive Body Repair Technician will perform various tasks, including:
- Cleaning and maintaining the workspace
- Replacing front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components
- Filing, grinding, and sanding body surfaces to be repaired
- Masking and taping auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
- Hammmering out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers
- Removing damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolting or welding replacement parts into place
- Repairing or replacing damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs
- Operating soldering equipment or using plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
- Straightening bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must:
- Have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Be willing to train on the job
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as group insurance benefits and travel insurance.
Work EnvironmentThis is a temporary position with 30-40 hours of work per week. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tools and equipment.
