Senior Financial Advisor Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and client-focused Senior Financial Advisor to join our team in Richmond Hill.

As a Senior Financial Advisor, you will contribute to the overall success of our team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of our business strategies and objectives.

You will assist our clients and their families in achieving their personal financial goals, leveraging your experience and strong client focus to prepare comprehensive financial plans and specific investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a team approach by actively referring clients to our wealth management services.
  • Further your knowledge of advanced financial planning concepts, including income tax, investment trends, and products, and compliance with all industry regulations.
  • Participate in facilitating seminars and information meetings throughout the region.
  • Flexibility to travel, as required, is expected.
  • Understand how our risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values and Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience providing financial advice within the financial services industry.
  • University degree in business, commerce, or financial planning.
  • Hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • IIROC licensed as a Registered Representative, including completion of the Canadian Securities Course, the Conduct and Practices Handbook, and 90-day training.
  • Life License (LLQP) and a willingness to complete other regulatory requirements.
