About the Role

Giesecke & Devrient GB Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of our Manufacturing System, including its integration with other software tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Configuration and Maintenance: Manage application configuration of the Manufacturing System, including troubleshooting of application, configuration, and user issues.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Engage with operations management and staff to collect requirements, design, develop, and deliver reports using Excel and DB.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee and manage vendor relationships to ensure the efficient operation of the Manufacturing System and tools.
  • Training and Support: Manage and oversee the training of G+D users, including the creation of associated documents as required.
  • Hardware and Software Management: Maintain and oversee physical plant and system hardware in close collaboration with IT.
  • Project Support: Provide expertise and input for projects and initiatives involving the Manufacturing System and tools.
  • Print Queue Management: Configure and manage print queues and Manufacturing System ticket printers.
  • Data Collection and Terminal Setup: Coordinate with IT to oversee the setup and configuration of data collection terminals.
  • Application Patches and License Management: Oversee and manage application patches and license files in close collaboration with IT.
Requirements
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years' hands-on work experience with DB and reporting, 2-3 years of experience creating.NET applications, and 2-3 years of experience creating Windows Services in.NET.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate complex technical details into workable general scenarios within the business structure.
  • Education: BSc and/or equivalent work experience.
Working Conditions
  • Office Environment: While the majority of the work will be typical office/workstation in nature, there is a frequent need to interact directly with the operations management team, staff, and environment.
  • Physical Work: Some physical work required related to the implementation and setup of hardware, installing hardware components, basic wiring hookup, etc.
  • Support and Travel: Potential for support outside of normal working hours, including weekends or holidays, and infrequent travel to support the same activities in other facilities.
