Job Title: Steel Stud Framer

Apex Concepts Inc. is seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Steel Stud Framer to work on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel stud framing, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in steel stud framing
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour
