Job Title: CG Senior Modeling Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled CG Senior Modeling Artist to join our team at Atomic Cartoons. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D models from scratch, meeting technical and aesthetic standards for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create show-style models from scratch, adhering to project requirements and deadlines.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Look Development Artists to ensure models integrate seamlessly into the Look Development pipeline.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and directors to deliver changes efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of modeling techniques, software, and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of industry experience in Animation and/or Visual Effects.
  • Proficiency in Maya, Zbrush, and/or Mudbox.
  • Ability to create complex models from 2D reference or scan data.
  • Strong understanding of clean line-flow, organix, and hard surface modeling.
  • Background in visual arts/design with a strong understanding of form, geometry, and movement.
  • Excellent visual skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of texturing/shading, rendering, or rigging.
  • Linux operating system experience.
  • Experience with Python scripting.
  • Experience using Shotgun for production tracking, submitting, and publishing.

At Atomic Cartoons, we offer a competitive pay range of $1,400—$1,600 CAD per week, depending on location and experience. This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, GRSP, vacation pay, paid holiday break, paid leave, and discounts. Please note that this expected pay range is for British Columbia and is not applicable to locations outside of the province.
