About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Analyst II to join our Radiology Technical Support Team at Alberta Health Services. As an IT Analyst II, you will be responsible for providing technical support related to information technology applications, ensuring reliable operations of information systems, and resolving complex technical problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support related to information technology applications, either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions.
  • Ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, and find solutions to customer needs.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor.
  • Analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs.
  • Lead projects and program initiatives, and spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.
Requirements
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Successful candidate must complete Epic application accreditation within the first 45 days from date of hire.
  • Experience transforming end-user functional requirements into a workflow-based software implementation.
  • Specialized depth in software technology.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in technology relating to software applications.
  • Experience leading staff and business clients.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Superior customer relationship skills.
