Cardiology Technologist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital in Penticton, BC.
About the JobThis is a casual position with rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and varied hours. As a Casual Cardiology Technologist, you will work independently within a supportive team environment to perform duties related to cardiology testing.
Responsibilities- Perform various non-invasive examinations, such as ECG, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and pacemaker monitoring.
- Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide education on cardiac equipment.
- Monitor patients during tests, scan test strips, and take appropriate action upon recognition of cardiac arrhythmias or other abnormalities.
- Transfer and assign ECGs for interpretation by medical staff.
- Maintain equipment, statistics, and files completed reports.
- Participate in Quality Management and/or Quality Assurance programs.
- Instruct staff and students on departmental orientations, in-service presentations, and demonstrate procedures.

QualificationsCompletion of a Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists recognized Diploma program in Cardiology Technology plus two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Estimated Salary$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
