Position Overview
Penticton Regional Hospital in Penticton, BC seeks a skilled Electroneurophysiology Technologist to join their team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electroneurophysiology Technology and excellent communication skills.

About the Job
This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment. As an Electroneurophysiology Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting various tests such as Electroencephalography (E.E.G.) and recording measurements. You will also formulate technical reports for interpretation by medical staff in clinical diagnosis.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Conducts and records Electroencephalography (E.E.G.) on patients by operating a variety of equipment, calibrating and adjusting equipment during test processes, taking appropriate measurements from test data produced, and entering calculated results into computer in order to demonstrate whether abnormalities exist.
* Formulates technical preliminary reports by analyzing recordings, measuring numerical data, describing abnormal manifestations and forwarding calculations to physician for use in clinical diagnosis.
* Receives and prepares patients for tests by receiving requisitions from physicians, reviewing case history and assessing the nature of the problems to determine process and direct test accordingly. Prepares patients for tests by receiving and interviewing patient or family, explaining procedures, attaching electrodes equipment to appropriate areas and monitoring patient's comfort to ensure patient is at ease while obtaining required results.
* Performs preventative maintenance on equipment by calibrating and cleaning equipment to ensure equipment is producing accurate records; maintains service and equipment performance records by completing log book and arranging repairs to ensure equipment is working.

Requirements
* Successful completion of a recognized program in Electroneurophysiology Technology plus one year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
* Current registration with the Canadian or American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (C.B.R.E.T.) is required and eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (CAET)
