Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Funeral Assistant. This role involves providing exceptional client service to families during their time of need.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensures that client families and other individuals receive the necessary information and assistance.
  2. Assists the team with the movement of caskets and other related items.
  3. Maintains public spaces, including the lobby, chapels, restrooms, and reception areas.
  4. Provides assistance to clients in and out of limousines, with a focus on the handicapped and elderly.
  5. Supports funeral services and visitations, including greeting visitors and coordinating pallbearers.
Requirements
  1. Valid driver's license in good standing.
  2. Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs and occasionally lift in excess of 80lbs.
  3. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and differentiate the level of importance.
  4. Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  5. Ability to handle emotional situations with professionalism and compassion.
Additional Qualifications
  1. Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement.
  2. Able to read, write, and speak English fluently, with bilingualism being a plus.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, community leaders, and grieving client families.
  4. Empathetic and tactful in emotionally charged situations.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include exposure to natural elements, use of equipment, and regular lifting. Employees in this position are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, and kneel, and may be exposed to chemicals or bloodborne pathogens.

Travel

This position requires out-of-area and overnight travel.
