About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Medical Imaging Informatics team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the effective delivery of informatics services that support our clinical programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and management to the Informatics team, ensuring the development and implementation of best practices in clinical imaging information systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish provincial data standards and ensure regular, comprehensive, and reliable reporting to the Ministry of Health on MI exam volumes and wait times.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication mechanisms to ensure integration of informatics services and data flow to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare.
  • Manage designated staff, including planning and establishing work priorities, scheduling, and task assignments, as well as evaluating employee performance.
  • Implement effective performance management processes and provide direction, guidance, and cross-site leadership to assigned staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a Baccalaureate degree in a relevant profession, supplemented with leadership and business management courses, as well as a minimum of five years' recent, related progressive informatics leadership experience in a complex acute care information systems environment.

You will also need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment.
